How does Software Lantern generate software leads?
Buyers describe their software requirement through a short structured form. The resulting brief is published to providers in the matching category.
How do software providers receive leads?
Matching briefs appear automatically in the provider's portal, showing the category, a requirement summary and the timeline before you unlock anything.
Do providers choose which leads to unlock?
Yes. Every provider reviews the brief and decides for themselves whether to unlock it. Nothing is bought on a provider's behalf and nothing is pushed to a buyer without the provider choosing to respond.
Do you rank or endorse providers?
No. We tell buyers these are providers that believe they can meet their requirements. Buying more leads does not buy you a better position.
How many providers can receive a buyer requirement?
No more than three. Each brief is capped at three providers, so you compete with at most two others.
What information does a software lead contain?
Category, a short requirement summary, scope details and the buyer's timeline before you unlock it. Company name, contact name, work email and phone number once you unlock.
Which software categories does Software Lantern support?

Do providers pay a subscription?
No. There is no subscription or retainer. Providers pay only for the individual leads they choose to unlock.
What does a lead cost?
It depends on the category and the size of the buyer. The price is shown on every brief before you unlock it, and there is no subscription on top.
How many leads should we expect?
That depends on your categories and how narrow your fit is. We would rather send you five briefs you can genuinely serve than fifty you cannot.
What exactly does the money back guarantee cover?
If you buy a lead and never get the opportunity to demo your platform to that buyer, you get your money back. Tell us within 30 days, show us you made at least two attempts to reach them, and we refund the lead in full or credit it against your next one.
Can we add a category later?
Yes. Add or drop categories whenever your product does. Email jdb@softwarelantern.com and we will update your profile.
